The keys were here. Even his Knight. His actions with Sephiroth were unexpected, but not unwelcome. Aya was fast becoming one of the more important keys in this city. And she was his elevator.

The only untested variable at this point was Tatsuki and her newfound insight into the man in the mask. Having her in the fold was useful, besides. As long as she was kept busy, he likely had no need to worry. Even the burgeoning relationship between the pair was useful.

Shirley suddenly flooded to his mind. Her actions during the Captain's attack, her eagerness to help... it all made her a liability. He had the power to destroy as well as the power to protect. The more he stuck his own neck out, the more likely it became the sword would come down on hers. He had a few plans. But there were some threats he couldn't answer. Their jailers were one of them. But it seems they weren't the only one attempting to puzzle this out. CFP-TCI, whoever they may be, also had a fight on their hands. There were two fronts now, growing in power. No longer were they an island.

If there was to be a fight, Lelouch would not stand for being a mere soldier. He would be the General.

Others in the room soon caught his attention. Two individuals trying hard to hide their real identities. One in an ill-fitting suit, the other in a woman's coat and spectacles with a nose attached. And from the pair came a most odious scent, that his mask did nothing to block. Infact, it was likely trapping it in there. Lelouch placed himself on the far side of the room from the source. It seemed to cling to his cape, though, and he made a disgusted snort. His proximity to Naoki was near enough for the two of them to be able to pick up nonverbal cues from one another, but not so near that any observers would consider them aligned.

Lucrecia hadn't really been paying attention to anything lately, let alone the network, so to actually go on and see that someone was planning a conference of sorts had her surprised. She'd apparently missed an earlier one, so she figured she may as well go to this one.

It would be difficult getting around, but she'd started to figure out how to hide from the crabs. She was slow getting there, but eventually she did make it. Staying close to the far side, she ended up close to a man (?) in a cape suit... thing...

She glanced at him, suddenly wishing she'd come with Vincent, but she had no idea where he was. So she settled in place and waited.

He recognized the woman that entered. His eyes went from her to the man that was her companion, the one in the red cloak. "It is good that you have come out to see this," he told her. "This may be the beginning of something bigger than each of us."

Lucrecia hadn't expected to be addressed by anyone, let alone the cloaked figure next to her and it was starting to make her a little nervous, though she tried not to show it.

She was entirely unsure how to respond to ... him/her/it. The voice was male, though, so that seemed to assure her that her companion was male... though whether this was good or bad remained to be seen.

"This place has more things to discover than one person alone can research," she replied softly, trying not to show how uncertain she was and failing... hard. "All we can do is try to work together. With any luck at all, we'll manage to survive together."

"Indeed there are. And it would seem that there are more mysteries yet to be found than we have already discovered. There will be sufficient puzzles for all to unravel." His faceless mask moved toward her.

"But surviving is not enough. Surviving is easy, all of us here are doing it just by standing here. What is greater than that is escape. Leaving here, either for the country this island is a part of, or back to our own countries; that is the only acceptable resolution." Indeed, it is thus for himself, and for most others, but what of those that should be dead? Such as Shirley, or Euphemia. Allowing their ambiguous fates to hold him back was unacceptable. There were greater things than that to be dealt with back home.

Lucrecia had to force herself not to take a step back, but the worry on her face was clear. "I-I suppose so," she answered carefully, nervously. In all honesty, she was still confused as to which she wanted: getting off the island or going home. Going home would mean she would be forced back into the mako crystal and Vincent... what would happen to him without Chaos?

She glanced away and finally took that step to the side. She didn't really know what else to say. "I believe some of us are working towards that goal. Not everyone is content to just sit here."

She wasn't, even if it did mean returning to the crystal.
