Characters: Harry, Thomas, Hitsugaya
Content: Hitsugaya and Harry have a possible lead on the note found in the subway adventure. Now all that remains is to follow up on it.
Location: East 96 subway station: Pics here
Time: Very early in the morning
Warnings: None at the moment, though violence is a possibility

Thomas wasn't exactly a morning person so he was really grateful that some coffee had been made beforehand. He briefly mused over the idea that if their captors ever REALLY wanted to disable them they would stop delivering coffee. He quickly pushed that to the back of his mind and finished his own coffee. "Good news is, its too early for this and maybe whoever is playing scientist for us lab rats is still passed out over their observation notes," he grumbled, scratching at the bandage wrapped around his hand from the burn Michiru had given him. It was healing slowly because of the nature of the burn but at least it didn't sting as much anymore.

The incubus yawned, wondering why he had agreed to this again.

It had been rather eventful recently. Rescuing Inoue Orihime, the hole, the two monsters, and Matsumoto's return. As Harry and him had agreed, he'd told no one of the plan to search the station. All anyone would know at this point was he'd gone out.

Hitsugaya wasn't one to be late, no matter how early. He arrived as the meeting place as scheduled, still in his gigai--for now. The shinigami hadn't decided quite how he would approach the subject concerning his condition, so to speak, but it would be unwise to go down there in his gigai.

"I wouldn't bet on it," the boy replied dryly to Thomas' comment. If they were being monitored, Hitsugaya very much doubted it wouldn't be a 24/7 operation. It was pretty clear from the note that they were well organized.

Harry just smirked at his brother's obvious discomfort and joked, "You know, not everyone is as obsessed with their beauty sleep as you are Thomas."

He turned at the other voice, and seeing Hitsugaya gave him a wave. "Glad you could make it. Okay, there's a good chance we'll run into crabs down there, so we should keep our eyes peeled. Also keep your eyes open for anything that might be a clue, no matter how minute it might seem."

Turning to face the entrance into the station Harry said, "Alright, let's see what we find."

Hitsugaya arched an eyebrow at Thomas, but didn't say anything beyond a vague frown. He knew sarcasm well, Thomas' comment just hadn't sounded like it. He resisted saying as such however ( ... )

Harry paused and raised an eyebrow at Hitsugaya's request. Still, he'd seen stranger things even before coming to Manhattan, and so he just nodded and said, "Okay, got it ( ... )

Thomas' reaction was similar to Harry's, raising an eyebrow, "What the heck is that supposed to mean?" The boy didn't answer and merely popped some...candy into his mouth? He suddenly fainted and Thomas blinked, was that...what the heck, "Shouldn't he have told us about a condition like that?" Thomas moved over to the body and poked it with his foot, something was funny about all this.

When his brother started talking to someone he turned and...saw nothing. "Uhm...Harry...who are you talking to," Thomas asked, trying to follow where Harry was looking and seeing nothing.

He tentatively followed Harry down the stairs after his order, still really not understanding what the heck was going on. Were they just leaving the body up there?

Only for a brief moment did surprise flicker across Hitsugaya's face, before the covers of his lips quirked up at Harry's questions. So, Harry was able to see him. That would make things a little easier. Thomas couldn't but that didn't bother him too much.

"Abarai? You could say I do," he replied, before following down the stairs into the station. His steps were almost silent, as his waraji made little sound on the cement.

Hitsugaya nodded to Harry's words, "Understood." Before breaking away to begin examining the area, particularly the ground.

Thomas looked once more back up at the body before Harry caught his attention again, "What the---you know what...never mind." If Harry was going to be an ass about this then whatever. Thomas followed Harry into the dark tunnel, gun at the ready. He slowly moved ahead of Harry, his eyesight being a little keener in the dark and he'd probably be able to see something a little before Harry.

That said, when a noise came from behind them Thomas tensed and turned to point the gun at the crab face, hissing a curse word and shooting at it. Of course, then he realized it wasn't moving and was just a head on a spike...oh that was just great. He looked over at his brother, "Empty night don't DO that!"
