An unexpected detour [ COMPLETE ]

Content: Garnet has learned the location of a library in Manhattan! As per Odd's suggestion, she's stopping by the Cathedral first, to pick up a Radio. Instead, she runs into Rion.
Location: In and around St. Patrick’s Cathedral.
Time of day: Mid-day
Warnings: It's... kind of depressing.
More than one person had confirmed it -- there was a library somewhere in the vicinity of 42nd street. Furthermore, she had accounts that the contents of said library were at least mostly preserved. Garnet never thought she'd be so excited to know that there was a LIBRARY near by. Somewhere between Childhood and Adulthood, she'd become a regular book worm. Now, with very little to do, and feeling very anxious about all that she still did not know, a good read sounded like the best thing for her frayed nerves. Her oldest form of escapism.
Odd had suggested that next time she went out, she should be more prepared. It was for this very reason that she found herself crossing the street to the Saint Patrick's Cathedral; she had to admit, carrying around a radio was probably a good idea, even if she did have the knife on her hip.
She made sure to look both ways before crossing -- not for vehicles, but for crabs. Never hurt to play it safe.
