Flute was actually quite nervous. She knew very little about her older brother... she had only heard his name once or twice, even! Queen Horn had told her about the battle from 15 years ago, how Lute sacrificed his life to save Sforzando and how he was a kind and gentle person... she could tell that already from talking to him on the journals.

But an older brother! It was going to be so strange... she had been raised an only child in Staccato, though she played often with the village children and always had wanted a sibling.

When Clari came knocking, Flute was just putting the last touches on smoothing the wrinkles out of her old pink dress. "Hello Mr. Clari!" she said cheerfully as she opened the door. "I'm ready to go see him now."

"Oh, wonderful," Clari said, then showed her the piece of paper. "I, er...I was wondering if you knew where this place was?" He asked, as though this was a great wound to his pride (which in fact it was).

Flute had one look at the paper and had to raise her eyebrow. Yes, actually, she knew right where that was. It... really wasn't hard to get to. Clari needed to get out more.

"Um. Yeah. Let's go," she motioned for him to come along.

"Oh good," Clari breathed a sigh of relief, and obediently followed her out, a step to the side and two behind.

"You decided to wear your old clothes to meet your brother?" Clari observed, smiling. He'd done the same, though doing all the ironing last night had been a royal pain.
