Clari was up at some ludicrous hour of day, knocking at Flute's door. He had written down Lute's location--Park and 22nd--and he desperately hoped Flute would either know where it was or have a map handy, or, best of all, willing to es--...to allow herself to be escorted to reunite with her brother.
He still could barely believe it--his master, here, alive, well. He'd never expected to see Lute alive again--well, that was untrue: He'd known that such a thing was almost impossible, but he had secretly hoped and dreamed that someday, someday, Lute would be free--that he would free him. Now, he felt as though his heart would burst.
