Yes, new pictures are up of Ely Cathedral. We went there this past Saturday to check it out. Well, Juan has been there before with a past girlfriend, and she really enjoyed it. It's a really interesting place. It's so old, some of the statues were from around when William the Conquerer came to England. The walls themselves were even older, considering that the original monastery was founded in 673.
In other news... hopefully this command sponsorship paperwork ends soon. Good thing about this is that I can get a job over here! Bad thing is that Juan's tour in England will be extended for another year, meaning that we will be here until January 2008. He was upset by it first, but he's making the most of it. He loves England, but I guess his job is hard on him. He's working day shifts now, so he's happier.
We are probably going to be getting new landlords in the next couple of months. His current landlord is looking to sell, since his mother that lived in the big house next door died in July. He told us he is looking for a nice family to take it over with the idea of being a landlord. I don't really want to be kicked out and have to find another place. But maybe the new people will let us have a pet. Juan really wants a dog. I myself am a cat person, but if it is a smaller dog, I can deal.
The bank over here is really frustrating me. I received a "check card" in the mail, but not the debit card I requested. The directions said to activate it in the ATM, which I did. Then it ate my card. Ugh. This bank gives me such a headache. I feel like yet again I have to go back there and make another complaint.
Hopefully we can buy some furniture here. I really want a living room sofa set, but now we have to look into replacing Juan's wedding ring. Someone at the gym was greedy enough to steal it from his pile of stuff while he worked out. They left the wallet, but took the ring. How sweet. I thought military people lived by higher standards? Apparently not.
I'm just being grumpy so I will end it here and will write again when there is something more positive to say.
