nationalists VS. internationalists
a recent arguement in math class prompted me to present this topic. in the book "who's looking out for you?" by Bill oreilly, he presents a very true theorey which i will discuss.
there are 3 kinds of people in this world, nationalists, internationalists, and quite frankly, idiots. oreilly only named the first two but i feel that my experiences have necesitated the addition of the third.
ok, so first nationalists. nationalists are people who view the world through their eyes. by this i mean america for all practical purposes. they put things in their perspective. if they're an american, they look out for the intrests of america. by this i dont mean to connotate selfishness. what i mean is that they dont sympathize with america's enemies, or look at things through the eyes of our opponents in this world. they look out for the interests of our nation and its people. they also look to support the long enduring reputation of america as a force for good. these people, generally speaking, support such military action as that in iraq, afghanistan, WWII etc. additionally, these people view america and her allies as a force for good. they have pride in their country. i would certainly include myself in this group.
next we have internationalists. internationalists view the world through the eyes of everyone else, but america. they look out for the interests of everyone else first. these are the kind of people who argue against war because they think it will be a civilian blood bath. i understand civilian casualties are unfortunate but sometimes, military action is necesary. with todays weapons as they are, civilian casualties are generally reduced. these internationalists are often times, a two sided coin however. they whine and whine, and protest, etc when a civilian gets killed in combat, then when a suicide bomber tries to kill a US soldier, and takes 20 civilians in the process, they are totally quiet. they are also frequently one sided in that they generally look out for the interest of the enemy before the protagonists. for example, these are the people pissing and moaning whenever israel kills some palestinians, but, you dont hear them bitching about the suicide bombers bombing israeli buses every third day. they are the ones making issues about care of detainees at gitmo bay. those assholes are given everything from round the clock meals, to prayer matts, our soldiers barely have 1 toilet, and these pricks are bitching! STFU! lastly, these people view america as an arogant, overpowerful, bully in the world, ignoring the facts. like how the united states gives billions in aid constantly to numerous countries across the globe. we will get more into this later.
lastly, there are the idiots. these people truely disgust me. these people have no idea wtf they are talking about. they are constantly founding baseless arguements just to piss people off. for example, R**n B****w froms school. he has absolutly no clue what he says. he obviously loves saddam hussein and hates america, yet some retards actually take him seriously.
well thats that for now, next topic will probably be the middle east peace problem.
