I may be sick but I've got swag.....
Thank you for your kind wishes. I've been to the doctors, got antibiotics and nasal spray (ugh) and a follow up appointment. But that is not the swag that is lighting my life, oh no, it is this ......
All from allypally. The lovely sock yarn is from a Scandinavian stall which I can't remember the name of alas, the Big skein of "heavy" laceweight cashmere (oh yes) from Knitwitches, blondewood sox stix from Lantern Moon, and ooh look at that book, it's signed by the Edge Goddess herself Nicky Epstein who kindly signed all 3 edge books for me. From Socktopus I only bought Eucalan, because by that time I was sooooo tired I didnt have the strength to fondle any more yarn, but just look at her tissue paper, it is gorgeous. I wish I had bought more from her and got a real done-up package! I also bought from Knit n Caboodle (bsj pattern and a tube for storing small wip in, and Yarn Forward from Kerrie. Oh and some pink alpaca from alpaca-select for a hat. I'm too poorly to model such hat, so here is a man not afeared of pink to do so for me
I am however, up to modelling mittens, so here are the ones I finished last week for Helen's birthday. Yes I did say in a previous post that I was making her socks but I lost heart in them and made a snap decision to make mitts. She does a lot of walking in the countryside so I think her hands need to keep warm.
Now for some rest and let the medicine do its thing. Then hopefully in a few days there will be fresh knitting pics (Iris is in the dressing room getting ready as you read this. She has all her good luck cards in a row on the make-up box....)
