Ooh, is she? We download that; I look forward to seeing her, possibly tonight.

Oh and the best of non-British luck with the Home Office.

I missed some of the episode, being distracted, so I'm not sure how long she was in it for. I'm also not sure whereabouts the episode fits in the series, as I'm watching them out of order just as I find them on tv. I really enjoy this series.

Thanks for the good luck wishes. They obviously counted because we got through!

Wonderful news!

I don't think it usually matters which order you watch them in, but they occasionally have an arc, like the guy who killed Jack's wife. I think they might be starting another background one with Sandra's father's suicide (or murder?), but they usually only go over 2-3 eps at most. I started watching out of order, then went back and dowloaded old eps and caught up.

Those old guys are great eccentric characters. My favourite is the aging geek, Brian. :-)

It must be a repeat. As far as I can find out, Jan Chappell was a technician in one ep in season 1 in 2004.

Oh, that's a shame. I was rather hoping she'd be in a lot more of it.

They are very funny as a team. The reason I like it, is that it's dialogue heavy and character driven. Not so much running after international diamond smugglers, as bitching about how said international diamond smugglers wouldn't have got away if they'd been 10 years younger and didn't have a bad heart/gaming obsession/ex-wives to meet up with... They come across as more realistic characters to me.

They're wonderful! UK TV is good at doing real people, though of course exaggerated for entertainment value.
