Waiting
Anxiety levels at an all time high today. Waiting for a phone call that will tell us whether or not the Home Office has approved an extension to our UK residency.
It's extraordinarily unsettling to know that a bureaucrat having a bad hair day has the power to force you to leave your home, give up your job, sell your house, and move on.
Also, there is an alarming question on the form. They want to know "Have you ever done or said anything that could be considered to be not in good character?"
Whose character exactly? And how do they define 'good character'?
