Hey! I just read that book. It was good, but not her best. There's no way to top "Here Be Dragons".

"Time and Chance" is an OKAY Henry/Eleanor book... DEFINITELY better than "The Book of Eleanor" by Pamela Kaufman, which I wholeheartedly recommend you avoid like the plague. It is trite, unimaginative, and bland to say the least.

My favorite Henry/Eleanor book is called "Beloved Enemy" by Ellen Jones. It is a sequel to her book called "The Fatal Crown" which is about Henry's mother, the Empress Maude.

If you are into biographies at all, Allison Weir has a bio that came out c. 2000 that is about Eleanor and even though it is nonfiction, it definitely reads more like a good fiction piece.~

I love Allison Weir. I was reading her book about the Wars of the Roses when I left home for Empire, so I'm excited to get back to it. I'll definitely check out her bio of Eleanor. Pamela Kaufman sounds so familiar...ah, she wrote Banners of Gold, which I loved. A pity she didn't stick with fictional characters, since the Amazon reviews point out the historical inconsistencies and the shallow way she painted the men surrounding Eleanor. I will definitely avoid. :)
