Summary: Little drabble, delving into Tina's thoughts as she waits for the doctor at a prenatal appointment.
Tina shifted uncomfortably, the paper across her lap crinkling loudly in the exceptionally quiet exam room. What had she been thinking, going ahead with the IVF when she knew things were over with Bette? Who willingly, knowingly becomes a single mom!? She'd always known that she'd have a baby someday. That she'd pass on her dimples and her sense of humor to her future son or daughter. That she'd tackle the ongoing adventure of parenthood. She'd just never imagined she'd do it all alone.
She and Better were supposed to embark on this adventure together. As a team. The three of them against the world. But Bette abandoned her - them - when they'd needed her most. And they'd gone through so much to get to this point that it'd seemed wasteful and foolish not to take this chance again.
She'd gone ahead and gone through with the IVF without even really thinking about the future of her and Bette's relationship. She wasn't regretting it exactly, but it was starting to get scary. As she put her hands on the ever-growing mound of belly she sighed. It was too late to do anything about it now; not that she wanted to do anything but be mommy to this amazing little creature.
She just really wished she didn't have to face this particular adventure alone.
