Let me start by saying I really enjoyed this movie, from the utter creepiness of the Dementors, to the damn catchy 'Something Wicked This Way Comes' song.
And THE UGLY: That scary-ass clown Parvarti Patil thinks is funny. That thing was creepy, y'all.
I think I read somewhere that James' history with the marauders would be brought up in the fourth movie, but I agree that it was a bit too lean here. The first two movies were great, but did have a lot of exposition, and I think this new one assumes the audience has read the book. That can be a sloppy filmmaking technique, but it seemed to work out all right in this case.

Have u actually bought the soundtrack yet? If YES, ignore the rest of this post. If NO, continue on at ur own risk.
The music is bloody fantastic! John Williams is a genius! I can't believe he didn't get the Oscar for original score. I desperately hope Patrick Doyle won't disappoint in GOF. The only jazzy music is the knight bus sequence (track 3, i think). I don't know why the music from the boggart scene was cut out.

Oh God yes, I'm not sure what the logic behind turning a giant snake into something out Stephen King is.
