First time posting on daily_lolita, so I apologise in advance if I've fucked up the formatting or tagging. This was originally posted on my
Tumblr, but I wanted a place where I could go into a bit more detail about each individual coord rather than just presenting them as a set. Suggestions and concrit are welcome.
Left Coord:
Blouse: H&M
♥ JSK: Metamorphose Temps de Fille
♥ Skirt: Baby, the Stars Shine Bright
♥ Underskirt: Vintage ♥ Headdress: Baby, the Stars Shine Bright ♥ Wristcuffs: Bodyline ♥ Socks/Shoes: Offbrand ♥
The Meta JSK on its own is probably my least favourite main piece because of how incredibly short it is on me and the fact that I have yet to find a petticoat that makes the skirt look good (the cut is like bell on top, A-line on the bottom, but simultaneously not super full so stacking is very difficult). Which is of course why I am eternally grateful that Träumerei's pink is a pretty close colour match. The wristcuffs here (as well as on the right coord) were pretty much an afterthought after I realised that there wasn't enough white-white in the coord, so I'm not too sure how much I like them. If I do this coord again I'd probably change it to bracelets or something less puffy.
Centre Coord:
Blouse: The 69th Department ♥ JSK: Baby, the Stars Shine Bright
♥ Underskirt: Vintage ♥ Headdress: Baby, the Stars Shine Bright ♥ Wristcuffs: Bodyline ♥ Socks/Shoes: Offbrand
I'm really unused to working with such a limited colour palette when doing lolita coords, but this was fun and pretty easy to assemble given that i only had to balance two colours. The brightness of the white and pink still throws me off though. I'm used to working with a more muted palette, but I didn't want to wear a cream or off-white blouse because that would've introduced another colour (and honestly I was already stretching it with the underskirt). This is probably the closest to sweet that I have ever done in terms of colours.
Right Coord:
Blouse: Vintage ♥ Vest-thing: Forever 21 ♥ Skirt: Baby, the Stars Shine Bright
♥ Underskirt: Vintage ♥ Headdress: Metamorphose Temps de Fille and Kidsyoyo ♥ Wristcuffs: Bodyline ♥ Socks/Shoes: Offbrand
I originally bought the Forever 21 lace tank-thing to wear with my normal clothes, but then realised that the bottom was full enough to be worn over a lolita skirt without looking awkward. Thus began the silhouette experimentation. The end result feels almost mori-ish I'd like to say, well from neck to knees anyways, given how flowy and layered it is. I probably won't be using the tank again though, because I only own that one skirt and it doesn't look in any way good over any of my JSKs or OPs. The colour balance I think turned out surprisingly well. I love that blouse to pieces and I'd wear it more if it weren't for the fact that the cuff is a little small for me so I can't raise my hand too high in it (not that i really need to, but still). The overall balance could still be improved though, not only for this coord but the other two as well, because as it is right now my legs still basically vanish into the background. Part of it might be the carpet though.
