It feels good getting back into the groove, even if just for a day. This past week was the first for summer classes. I'm in two for the month of May; between them and work, I have no real break between 7am and 4:30pm. This weekend was a nice break from all that, even if I spent a good chunk of today fighting a sinus pressure headache.
On a day when doing something requiring heavy thinking i pretty much impossible and when getting off your bed results in head throbbing, it was rather nice to just sit and knit. Kinda like the good ole days, really, when I felt able to spend hours with just a pair of needles in my hands. I even managed to finish a blanket square for Warm Up America and a couple preemie-sized hats. My stash right now consists of a good batch of leftover yarns which hopefully will make for several more hats in the near future; if time allows it, that is.
On a side note, I came across this lovely hat while walking through the accessories aisle of Target last weekend. Very pretty.
What caught my attention most, however, was the sign beneath it:
Maybe it's just me, but something about that sign feels wrong. Ah well.
