Ahead or Behind?

It's that time of year again. Thanksgiving is this week, and Christmas nearly a month away, which means  the signs of IT are beginning to show. Crafters across the country are starting to worry. How many more gifts to make? Do I have enough time? Will I make it? Do I need to start taking short cuts?

In light of this, thought I should take some time to reflect on where I am with the gift list knits.

1) Lap Blanket for Friends -- DONE
Now finished, wrapped, and waiting for our trip to Arkansas is about two weeks.

2) Cozy House Socks for Mom -- DONE
These took three days to make. I really like them and, more importantly, so does the mom. Course she doesn't know they're for her, but she told me that she thought they were cute.

3) Heads Up Hat for Friend
Found this pattern featured in the holiday Knit Picks catalog. Still need to sew on the last four petals to finish.

4) Hat for Matt
Still need to find just the right yarn.

5) Secret Knit for Friend's Daughter -- on the needles
The main portion is done. It's now on to picking up stitches, then seaming. Can't really say much more than that for fear of giving something away. ;P

6) Pay It Forward Gift #5 -- on the needles
Part one done. There may have to be some improvising on part number two, because I don't have as much yarn as I thought I would when I started. This has been the most challenging of the PIF gifts, simply because it's tougher to come up with something to make when your friend lives in a wamer climate.
