It Happened This Weekend

Nov 28, 2007 09:26

Hope everyone's Thanksgiving went great. You have to love extended weekends, unless of course you end up working through most of it. :P At any rate, a few noteworthy events happened.

1) Gave the sis her birthday present. As she pulled it from the box, she mentioned how she loved the color. At first she didn't know what it was, yet once I showed her, she called it cute. I'll consider that success.

2.) On the way to my grandparents' house, passed an alpaca farm. We didn't actually see any alpacas, but just the idea of someone raising them in central Ohio was enough to make me smile.

3.) Kaitlyn was given her pinwheel sweater. Course, she was more interested in the wrapping than the actual sweater. :D

4.) Figured out that my cell phone camera will send photos to my email account. Yay!

5) Received two packages of yarn in the mail. One was the much-needed Wool Ease, the other some Rowan Cotton Rope for a future project. Was seriously tempted to start said project.

6.) Finished three projects.

Since Friday though, not much else has happened. The wrist has felt sore and a bit swollen, so I've been backing off from any knitting. With Christmas now only a month away, I hate to twiddle away time doing nothing. I'm fairly sure this feeling is the early signs of IT talking, so have been countering it with the idea of what it would be like to finish early yet not be able to knit at all due to pain.

Meanwhile, it's been called to my attention that my last post has disappeared. Yesterday I went to edit it, and today the whole thing is gone. Bleh. For those who are interested, have reposted the list.
26 days to go...
