Why I end up writing

I want to read tonight. Specifically, I want to read about true-hearted heroes (or heroines!) having adventures with either their equally true-hearted friends or their plucky and adorable sidekicks. To modern tastes this is entirely too simple and old-fashioned a thing to bother with, but I'm already fat and ugly: I'm perfectly willing to own up

I would reccommend pretty much anything by Sharon Lee & Steve Miller, or many of the books by Robin McKinley (Chalice is particularly good, as is Sunshine)
