Why I end up writing
I want to read tonight. Specifically, I want to read about true-hearted heroes (or heroines!) having adventures with either their equally true-hearted friends or their plucky and adorable sidekicks. To modern tastes this is entirely too simple and old-fashioned a thing to bother with, but I'm already fat and ugly: I'm perfectly willing to own up to having simple and old-fashioned tastes in reading. I have books of this nature but I've read them all before and though I know I will read them again in the future (with pleasure!) I want to read something new tonight. I could go look for fanfic, but I already know from past experience that I am a gen reader in a F/F/M/M/@/#/!/!!!!o_0/ world.
