I HAVE MY ROOM ASSIGNMENT!!!
Filled out the housing application/contract thing the other day and OMG. I HAVE MY ROOM ASSIGNMENT. My hall and my room and everything. Except a roommate. I mean, I have one, I just won't get to contact her for several weeks yet. It's pretty much amazing.
So, yeah. VERY excited. And I haven't had any more dreams about My Roommate And I Almost Kill Each Other. So things are going okay, I think.
Anyway, the point of this: Torchwood Episode Eleven: In Which Andy is made of awesome, we are depressed, and oh yeah, snogging. That too.
So. This episode.
I don't actually have that much to say about it. Good, depressing, and I think incredibly realistic. I love that Jack has set up an asylum to care for victims of the Rift. Gwen seems to think it's cold. I think it's really sweet and shows he does care and have a heart and etc. He's trying to help, and this is all he can do, but it's wonderful that he is taking care of them.
Gwen, on the other hand... She's got the right intentions, I think, and her motives seemed pure, but could she honestly have thought things would turn out well? Really? Still, I sympathised with her (for some reason), and it was a horrible wake-up call. Things can't go well all the time.
Onto Jack and Ianto. Obligatory "SQUEEEE!!!" over teh hotness. Weevil Hunting (*wink, wink*), Naked Hide-and-Seek, and shirtless groping. And then seriousness.
I want to know WTF is going on between these two. It seems even more that they're falling into the old work-shag deal, but I guess considering Jack lives in the Hub, maybe for them it's like shagging around the house or something. It still felt kind of off, though. I liked the original rumour better, that they were in bed, but I guess the Greenhouse is okay.
It was still pretty steamy. XD
The other scene that irked me slightly was when Gwen called Ianto, and Ianto's making coffee in the Hub while Jack yells for him. I'm seriously hoping that was part of their innovative sex-games rather than Jack being a bastard. Because if it was the latter (which I originally thought, and I ended up staring at the screen like, What? JACK! WTF ARE YOU DOING?! before thinking Calm down, Dagnir, it's fine, it's all part of the sex, you know...
PC Andy is made of win. I love him so much. It's kind of sweet how he still likes Gwen, but she's married to Rhys now, and he's kind of just... HE AND TOSH SHOULD GET TOGETHER. Tosh, if this whole Owen thing goes to shit (and trust me, love, it will), YOU SHOULD GET WITH ANDY. They'd be adorable!
I really want him to join Torchwood (AND THEREFORE MEET TOSH) while Gwen goes off and has kids. Speaking of which, Trouble in Paradise, anyone? She's kind of a bitch to Rhys, but I think it can (sort of) be forgiven considering the pressure she's under. It's good that she tries to mend it and actually talks to Rhys at the end. That was cute.
In conclusion: Gwen's a bitch and a moron but I feel bad for her and actually slightly liked her in this, Ianto and Jack are incredibly hot but I worry for them, Andy is made of win and should date Tosh, and I'm exhausted.
NEXT TIME:
Our lives flash before our eyes. Some Victorian women punch out Jack. Owen makes out with some chick. Tosh is having a really shit day. Ianto lies on top of Jack and breathes heavily. This episode coming on Friday. WIN!
