was that ... gunfire?

The sound bounced off of houses, but it did sound like gunfire more than a backfire. There was a pause. I muttered aloud "that can't be good"

Then I heard it again. I'm guessing both were from the direction of the Hell's Angels clubhouse. seriously.

I wonder if I'll hear sirens soon. If it's the clubhouse, maybe not.

I think I'll read a bit before my forty winks begin.
