40 garlic cloves, peeled
4 celery ribs, sliced and cut into ~ 1 inch chunks
4 chicken breasts
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp pepper
1/2 cup chicken stock (or white wine)
6 tbsp lemon juice
4 tbsp dry vermouth
4 tbsp grated lemon peel (if you got it. if not, eh, they'll live)
4 tbsp fresh parsley, minced (let's be honest here. i use parsley flakes from a jar)
4 tsp dried basil
2 tsp dried oregano
olive oil
1) Garlic and celery in the slow cooker.
2a) Salt and pepper the chicken
2b) Brown chicken in the olive oil, you know, in a skillet. Doing it in batches is fine. Put 'em in the slow cooker when browned.
3) Everything else, mix in a bowl. Pour it over the chicken.
4) Cover, cook on low 3 1/2 to 4 hours
