Every place I move to has worse and worse traffic conditions. Whereas here in Orlando the minimum speed is 60 MPH, the Tampa highway system is like a bunch of intertwined noodles. For one, there's a lot of highway construction, so there are plenty of wiggly, curving--AND HIGH SPEED--mega-lane roads. Sometimes you have to make pretty sharp turns, and the unfamiliar can get caught off-guard with their entry speeds. Worse still is their system of interchanges. It's like all other roads join into one, and you have the choice of going left, right, or through the middle branch. Many consecutive times. That means there is plenty of lane-jockeying required. Be sure not to pass the exit off of 275 or else you've got a 9-mile bridge ahead of you! Okay, maybe it's 7, I'm new.
It almost feels like I'm gradually being trained to get dumped onto LA or NY roads. Or worse yet, Europe.
