Bad-assery
Have you seen the commercials for the Xbox 360 version of Guitar Hero II? Utterly bad-ass. Done by the fellow who does the Gorillaz videos. [ Download bigger, clearer MOV version. ] Or look at the pixel-y YouTube version below:
The X-plorer guitar sits differently than the SG from the PS2 version. It seems to be shifted a bit down and to the right, bringing the frets closer to you. Also, the shape makes using the whammy bar a bit uncomfortable. Also-also, the shape is not lap-friendly; this really needs to be used standing up.
Graphics--particularly menus--are eye-popping and would give me no reason to want to go back to the PS2...except that I have three PS2 guitars and only one 360 guitar. Y'know what I'm hoping? That the PC clone Frets on Fire supports this USB guitar.
