New My Chemical Romance has leaked onto the net. Giving it a listen right now. Seems the hot new thing is to make albums that sound totally different than your previous one (see: The Killers). Well, that is that the music sounds different, but it still sounds like it comes fromt he same band.

No matter my impressions of it, I'm eagerly awaiting Tuesday so I can drop the dough on their velvet collector's edition. (Crossing my fingers that it will actually be in stores, though, since the ads don't make mention of the non-regular edition.)

UPDATE: So here's my preliminary review. I think the non-"punk"-listening general public could get into this album. The only real tie they keep to their "screamo" legacy are the growling vocals, but everything else here is just plain rock 'n roll. Nothing I heard was offensive to my ears, and for the most part, it was catchy and richly textured.
