Hurray!
After about two days of turmoil, it seems I've finally gotten my Mac to function again. But seems you were never meant to clone hard drives and simply switch them out; I've got some errors at startup. The first thought that came to mind is that this is more trouble than it's worth... But that's exactly Apple's business plan: Screw upgrading, just buy the new one we just announced!
Oh yeah, thumbs down on turning the little note in the iTunes icon blue (from green). I already have too many damned silver and blue icons to look at, Mr. Jobs.
