Nothing but surprises

It's a good thing I randomly decided not to skip my 15 minute break. I checked my phone I stashed in a locker and saw Tim had called. Where was he? Not in Jax, no... It turns out he's driving down Alafaya. I think he wanted to come see me at work, but I think he got lost and wound up just driving around for several hours.

Fortunately, I got off of work before midnight for the first time ever. It seems the district leaders want to make sure the morale doesn't get killed, so they're letting workers go home at a "reasonable" hour. I was sort of fine either way. But looks like I won't be getting phat overtime next week like I thought.

Oh, and no one's picked up my shift tomorrow night. Looks like I'll have to miss out on Best Buy orientation. Hopefully the next one's not too far off. I'm hoping it's only another two weeks. I'm working a whole lot this coming week, but my changed availability is already in effect the next week, giving me only one day of work. I don't want to have too much down time on my hands; though I certainly should be taking some to work on my website/portfolio. Plus, I need to keep the money coming in to pay the bills I'm quickly racking up.

I suggested we head to Bennigan's so I could partake of their delicious calamari. Not on the menu? Let's ask the waitress? Did they really get rid of them?! I was so flabbergasted, I requested comment cards, which were delivered by the manager. He said they still actually have some calamari in the back, but not defrosted. Maybe I'll still be able to special order them, unless the computer is hardwired without an option for them.

We watched D.E.B.S., one of too many DVD's I recently bought. It's an oft-times riotous B-quality movie. Though I don't know if we could really call it that since it's very self aware. This is a top-notch sight gag movie, and it deserves acclaim if only for that reason. My favorite sight gag? The giant door. Though you might find yourself wanting to fast forward through some of the actual plot, you really need to stick around for the great thought put into the sight gags and audio/visual juxtaposition. It's genius. This would be a completely different experience if not for film's visual medium; it's a story that must be seen.
