I like me my racing games, so two of the three 360 games I bought included Project Gotham Racing 3 and Need For Speed: Most Wanted. (I'd also really like another Ridge Racer to play, but something tells me to wait for the inevitable quick price drop on that one.)
Project Gotham Racing 3... As my mom said, "don't you already have this game?" I seriously doubt an HDTV makes so much of a difference that all the reviewers all proclaim its visual splendor. To the untrained eye, it sure looks like PGR2. If you know what to look for, you can really see the graphical improvements, but unfortunately you have to know what you're looking for.
Need For Speed: Most Wanted is a great thrill ride packed to the brim with production values. It's atmospheric, has attitude that works, and is just a riot to play. Police chases are the raison d'etre,, and you really need to experience one of those. One thing that occured to me after a bit of play was this: No bitch-ass Hondas or Acuras! But two Toyota/Lexus'!
Speaking of C.A.R.R.'s... (heh heh) That last episode of Stroker & Hoop (the flashback episode) was an incredibly brilliant satire on voice actors! Wow, mind-blowing!
