Christmas Update...
Short Update:
Christmas went well. I got some new pants, and a new lens...I'm really looking forward to playing with the lens at the next concert that I go to. I'm sending one of my lenses for service as it was defective. I'll probably bring with me 4 lenses for good measure...but I intend to only use two of them, the 24MM fixed and the 50MM fixed.
My wine just got in. I'll be taking one bottle with me to SC for new years and saving the rest for special occasions.
I went to go get some tea last night...oh yeah...because I got a Mate Gourd and bombilla for christmas. So I bought some Yerba Buena and after I was about to leave the clerk initiated a conversation with me. I'm curing the gourd as we speak...I can't wait to try out the National drink of Argentinia.
On the topic of drinks. While on the way home last night from Lenox, I got a craving for a mint julep. So I made one, didn't come out as good as where i've had it otherwise...again...so I did some sluething to learn what I was doing wrong. I'm still not fully sure...but I don't think I'm using enough Mint. I also found out that the Mint Julep has a special glass that it is traditionally served in. that's awesome. when i go back to south carolina I'm going to see if I can find a nice one. If I can't...I may be figuring out how to drive to Kentucky (as the Mint Julep is the official drink of the Kentucky Derby...so they've gotta sell them somewhere in Kentucky).
Otherwise...I've finished one of my books. and...I'm getting back onto my better eating habits. By tuesday of next week i hope to have a rythm defined...I'm tired of being so fat. I took advantage of the harsh lighting to come up with some really cool effects...several of the pictures don't even look like pictures anymore...and then...I got some really nice dog portraits

on a side note...I was cooking on the grill today and closed the lid by pushing down the lid...now my fingertip feels ridgeless and numb :)
