Yesterday while I was in the parking lot of a shopping center, I witness a young man opening or rather, swung his car door right into the car parked next him causing a very noticeable dent. The shocking part was that he did this while I was there (I’m amusing that my presence was noticeable) and the elderly couple whom were inside their vehicle (which he dented). The couple looked a bit shaken up but I was simply disgusted by this man’s behavior and before leaving the scene he looked at the couple and shrugged, and then walked away like nothing happened. He never had an inclination to offer an apology (though I doubt it would've be sincere) much less to exchange insurance information. I offered to be a witness should they decide to take legal action and gave them my contact information. I think this man behaved that way for one or two reasons, a) He genuinely does not care thus making him a first class A-hole or b) that was not his car so why worry about it?! I often wonder why do some people carry on this way/choose to be an A-hole, and what do they get out of it?
