The brain:  How does it become a mind?
I watched a video about the effect of technology on our brains.  Thought:  have we seen the most advanced brain and now we are regressing due to TV, texting, video games, blackberries, pc's and the like.
The jury apparently is out, but it certainly is something to think about and discuss.

I feel behind the eight ball on this with my Mom.
The situation right now, should have been last year.  Meaning, someone living with Mom.
We are so behind.
This year is a whole new set of needs. I don't know how far we are away from 24 hour nursing care.

BUT, if none of us can see this decline in real time, how can we manage her care.

As I approach the age of 60, I find certain thoughts creeping into my daily life.  I know Dunks' Dad had symptoms (Alzheimer's) in his 60's and I am not exactly sure when my Mom's onset happened.
