What a fun day. We met B at the Metro and then headed into the historic Washington. We were a block from the Spy Museum when we got off at B's stop. So, we had breakfast at the Spy Cafe...great....but opted out of the museum which would cost the two of us $34... way too expensive. We headed down F Street enjoying the architecture and the people. We made it to the White House in time to see the Presidential motorcade enter the grounds. It was a great walk. Of course I had to use the LADIES room at the tourist pavilion situated right in front of the White House. The place smelled of urine. And a homeless women was sleeping on the floor inside the door...I wonder what foreign tourists think of th
The buildings are so neat and historic and so different from where we live. Kind of jealous of the cool experience this will be for B. It's so cosmopolitan. We had a great lunch at Legal Seafood which is about a block from the library. The snow started falling during lunch. Wasn't. Expected at all. It continued the rest of the day and it was cool to see in her 18 th floor apartment.
