In the area where I live, there is a tradition unique in all of Italy (hey, in all of RC christianity, as far as I know). It is called "Carnevale Ambrosiano", and means that the Carneval, which in Europe is lived kind of like a week long Halloween, lasts not until Mardi Gras, but until the Saturday after that.

I am still a bit scared by the whole 3+ hours curvy roads bus drive, but well, I guess I'll survive it.
