I'm watching the Republican process as you would if you knew a train was about to derail, you have no power to prevent it, but you wanted to witness the mechanical carnage ..... from a safe distance. This has to be one of the most bizarre presidential races and we haven't gotten close to the general election.

I admit I'm a Romney guy in the primaries, only because I don't want my country run by crazy people. But it's amazing how high the bar's been set for crazy. I'm still hoping that someday all the culture-war bullshit won't matter.
I have said this before, and it bears saying again: I hope someday to have a choice. I hope that someday there will be two parties who don't hate immigrants, gays, and minorities. I'd like the GOP not to care about that shit anymore. What do you suppose are the odds?
