i jumped on the bandwagon

I bought my iPod, finally, and I got a new cell phone. The cell phone is the same as my old one, except that it actually works and gets service. My old one was bad with the whole service thing. I could make a call on it if I stood in one place and held it up as high as possible while craning my neck and touching the antenna. Bad news. When I got the new phone, they transferred all of my numbers over, but not my pictures or my ringtones that I had to pay for. I lost the ringtone of Somebody Told Me by The Killers and my personal favorite, Dragostea Din Tei (i.e. numa numa or may ya hee), the song that the fat kid sings and dances to and was incredibly popular for like 2 weeks during spring semester on ebaumsworld.

My iPod is great, if I could only figure out how to work it I might enjoy it a little bit more. I have it plugged into my computer but I am having a good deal of difficulty actually putting songs on the iPod. I have iTunes installed and it has been converting my song files all evening, but I still don't know how to actually move the files on to my iPod. It would be nice to figure out how to do that so I could bring this expensive toy to work and make the day pass by a little bit faster.

The canoe trip was interesting. I had to learn how to do real camping, especially with the torrential downpoors we got friday and saturday. We canoed more than half of the river on friday, set up camp that night, then spent all day saturday at the same camp trying to stay dry and dry everything out. Sunday we canoed the rest of the river and got back home. I got a massive burn all over my body on sunday, but even with red skin I look better than I did with bright white skin. I think I'm going to start laying out in the sun on the weekends for an hour so that I can get a nice tan going. I just hope mr. melanoma doesn't rear his ugly head.

I am going to go try to fill my iPod with techno. So what if it's stereotypical, I like it, bitch.
