2-0 and no looking back, just recovering it.
Well the softball team went 2-0 tonight by winning a one side game 14-6 scoring 9 runs in the 2nd. Even though we won big I have once again place myself on the injured list again because I strained my lower back again at work, but it didn't affect me until about 6:30 when I got up to go to the game. Perfect timing huh. I still played because it didn't bother me to play, just to bend over at the waist. I played but not well going 0 for 2 with an RBI, and I never really made any plays in the outfield because our pitcher had the other team hitting weak balls into the outfield and none into center except for one single up the middle. So I had to keep myself in the game and busy so I wouldn't lose focus. So I did what I do best next. I started talking it up. Calling out the number of outs, directing the outfield on where we should be positioned, what type of hit to look for, telling where we should be throwing the ball, and just plain encouraging others. When the other players made a bad play or just missed the ball, I told them to forget about it and encouraged them to make the next play. Congragulated guys when they made a good play, got a hit, or scored a run. So even though I really didn't do anything I still had fun talkin it up with the team and having fun in that way. So you could say that the Lord used me for different purposes tonight and I had fun doing them. I really love playin with these guys and we all really take the team thing to heart, always encouraging and trying to help each other out so we can improve. The Lord has truly blessed me with a great bunch of guys, talent wise and spiritually too. It is awesome! Just keep praying as we hand out tracks to the other teams after the game. In fact the team tonight said they liked the ones from last year and were waiting for the ones from this year. That is so cool. GO CROSSROADS!!!!
