Oh, the joy!
It appears to be an unwritten law of the universe that you only get plot bunnies when you absolutely should not be spending time writing them. But on the plus side, I actually managed my 'real' fic for 
karaokegal's costume party (I've also written another one, but it was the fic equivalent of throwing a sheet over yourself and calling it a toga). It is, indeed, the threatened songfic, with extra wanktastic self-indulgence thrown in. I'm so proud. Ever so slightly nauseated, but proud. Roll on Halloween :)
