Treason

     She thought of pirates caught in their nooses. She thought of Kings and Queens being beheaded before a cheering crowd. She thought of common folk and of witches and false accusations. But mostly she thought of treason. Oh how easy it was back in the day to do something ignorant and pay the price for it just because your government didn't like it. But it was a hard to pay, sometimes deadly. After all, the cost of treason isn't paid in dollars.

Lame response is lame again . . . so unoriginal. Man, I need to get back into writing actual stories for these things, not just summaries. I think I'm losing my touch, if I ever had one to begin with.
