Weekend In Review & Thensome

Friday was a pretty good day. Went to the last classes of the year and got some ideas of what to review for two of my finals. After class I went into the Union to cash a check and while I was in the Union there were kids singing, strike that, buchering Christmas songs. What made it worse is that they were contemporary Christmas songs which I feel for the most part BLOW! It's not that I don't like kids singing, I just don't like them singing badly, and with kids it's ten times worse because most of them are airry and tone deaf. After class and with my new wad of cash I proceded to go out and by a wonderful bottle of scotch. I've still got it and it's still delicous.

Friday night was an evening of wonder. About a week prior my friend Derick had couriered a message from his fiance and my friend Nicole that she had extra tickets to two events, one of which will be mentioned later. Friday night's festivities was that I would be joining Derick and a select group of others to see a "dance recital". I didn't know what to expect, and I'm glad I didn't. The show was interpritive or "modern" dance. The acts were well rehersed and it showed. Those girls, and some dudes, did some pretty crazy stuff. Did I mention a lot of those girls were quite attractive? Nicole, that's a hint if you didn't notice. ;) I didn't pull anything too deep from the show but I enjoyed it and got some new experiences out of it. Not bad at all.

Saturday was uneventful. I don't even remember what I did on saturday besides go to the grocery store and pick up some dry cleaning. Oh, I made brownies. "No Pudge Brownies" to be exact, but I added some pudge to them because I'm a fat kid. Oh me, oh my. Oh yeah, I studied too.

Sunday was cool just like friday. Event two that Nicole invited me to was the PMO Christmas Show. It was an extravagent setting and the music was good. The choir on stage had to be over a hundred. All of them could sing, that was understood, but the direction they got wasn't that hot. I'm a traditionalist when it comes to my Christmas music and none of this was very traditional. It all had a new age twist to it like most of today's "light music" has. It was good, but not something I'm very into. They had a really cool instrument on stage for one song. I have no idea what it was, but I assure you, it was very cool. They had a group of kids singing too, they rocked. One of them sang part of an old Alvin and The Chipmunks song, you know, the hula-hoop lyric. Fucking Outragous I tells ya!

Today is Monday. Monday sucked. It was boring, but hey, that's finals week. I have come to grips with the fact that my grades will be sub par this semester... but it still hurts. I'll just do what I do and keep trying and keep on truckin. Life's a garden, dig it. Keep on keep'n on. With that I bid you all a Happy Christmas, a Merry Chaunukha, a Delightful Qwanza and a bodacous Ramadan.

Shine on you crazy diamonds!
