a little girl.
changing diapers.
"stinky feet."
her failure,
my acceptance.
helping her with
finding herself.
helping her with
homework
(feeling stupid
because the system
has outdated the way
we did it).
playing with dolls.
spoiling her rotten.
learning from her
innocence.
correcting her
ways.
being that shoulder
she needs to cry on.
teaching her about
her body,
her first period.
becoming a woman.
becoming who ever she is.

...and loving her for who ever that could be
