Cathedral Falls
Gauley Bridge, West Virginia

Cathedral Falls is one of West Virginia's highest and most scenic waterfalls.
Cane Branch falls over a steep cascade almost 70 feet into a natural amphitheater.

The falls was mostly frozen when I visited on a February morning,
but you could hear water tumbling and bubbling and gurgling under the thick ice.
