Well, I've had about a month off between projects and I spent the time studying, relaxing and looking for my next Job. I also have been working on the Aurora model.
I have been doing some morphing of the face, so it makes since to do some tests. In this case, I made a shock look on her face by inverting the eye-brow frond that I have and adding to that, turning the grin setting in the mouth to a fround. here is what I got:
Face Expressions Test 001 I have also been working on the dynamics of the creature as well.
The dynamics are the more predicable (So they say) aspect of the model. Things like Gravity, wind and other objects have interactivity in the world. They call this Dynamics. Lightwave (the tool I use) has many types of dynamics that are preset and one dynamic, Cloth, has a set of presets to make it easier for the user to get started. In the case of Cloth Dynamics its Thin Cloth, Thick Cloth, Silk, Rubber and Jelly (Yep! Jelly).
It is always a good idea to see how the basics work with your model - in this case's Skirt. First thing we add is Gravity - otherwise the skirt would just float in the air when something interacted with it. We don't want that, Right? :) Next we have to make sure that the skirt bumps or cleans to Aurora's body rather than go through it. At spots we do want the skirt to clean against the body to complement Aurora's figure. It gives us the tease that we expect when we see a girl in a dress on a summer windy day. Next, we need the wind that in this case, I have blowing towards the front of her skirt. Well here is the first test - all 3.5 minuets of it:
Aurora Skirt Test 001 I'm starting another project later this month! If I get any time to improve things on the Aurora Model I'll post it here if I can.
Enjoy!
