I know we've only been seeing each other for a few months, but it feels right. It's the first time a relationship I am in feels true. After what happened (and don't worry, I'll get to it soon) Shaun came too me yesterday with a warm pot of tea and a muffin. He sat them down by the computer and kissed me.
"I'm glad you're back." He said.
"Me too." said I.
"It was strange not having you around." I should explain that up until the last week we have barely spent five minutes apart, he even came with me when I went looking for Rose and the Doctor in all our old haunts. "It felt like I was missing something I never knew I had."
I think I melted at this point.
"Be careful eating that." He said as he pointed at the muffin. "Got them out the bargain bin, you never know what you might find in there."
He left me to my typing as I drank my tea, "Don't worry love if we find half a finger I'll split the compensation with you." I insisted and peeled off the top of the bun. The ring sat in the cake.
"Oh, my god you'll never guess what!" I said running into his lounge with the ring between my fingers, "Some numpty has gone and dropped their..."
Shaun was on one knee, waiting patiently.
"Donna Noble..." He began.
"Yes! Yes!" I said and flung myself at him. We bashed noses and giggled.
"It's not too soon?"
"I'd have said yes on date two you idiot."
It's never too soon. I want a hundred babies and a huge wedding. I may even settle for doing that the other way around.
Anyway, I suppose you people will be more interested in the recent mystery. I'll get to that in a minute.
