Flaws & All
Ok, so it's been about 4 weeks since my last update and I have quite a bit of news to say (although this entry might be a briefer one considering that I'm not entirely in the mood to write.) I guess I should start as far back as I can... lol... lets see how much I can remember about this past month.
So, I'm now working at Pizza Hut on Red River Road... this is quite possibly the most amazingly fun job that I've ever had in my life. lol. I thank Sam for getting me the job so fast! lol. I'm only part time, but I'm still managing like 30+ hours a week and its pretty good money for just sitting there on a chair making hemp bracelets and necklaces or playing Sudoku all night. It's quite slack and the people are absolutely great (especially Sam, lol). I just came home from work just now actually (side note).
Well, for Canada Day, I went to the Marina with Shane and then to a camp party afterwards to watch fireworks and have a couple drinks. It was quite a good day, except I really did not want to go to the camp party and I didn't have that good of a time (more booze might of helped). After that, we went to the casino to spend like $20.00 and that was fun... a quick trip to the casino here in town, but a fun trip nonetheless. Other than that... my July has been pretty uneventful. It seems that this summer is goin by quite quickly and I'm wasting it away going to the hospital for tests and surgery and working and helping people out and not doing anything that I want to do (quite primarily because people never want to do what I wanna do, *sigh*) Anyway, on the 12th I spent the night at Shane's mom's because it was his birthday... that was a good, late night watching movies in the basement. Fun times. I like those nights with friends. teehee. Heather was supposed to come to Thunder Bay (well she did) but we missed each other because I slept in a little bit too late and missed her calls. Curse you Cherry Dr. Pepp-si! Curse you! lol (Sam and Shane understand the reference. lol).
So, I've come to the conclusion that I'm not going to do anything about my eye. My final appointment was supposed to be today, but I didn't want to take the time off work to go to it. lol. My parents agree with me. I was either going to get a shot of stereoids in my eye or not (the injection would either make my eye better or 100% worse... it was 50/50). I'm not willing to risk it. lol. But yea, that's the conclusion of my eye problems of a while... if it gets worse then I'll go see another doctor that doesn't want to inject my eye full of stereoids. lol. Meh... *shrugs*
I am, however, going in for surgery on the 26th of July because of the lumps on the back of my neck. They are just glands and I went through all the tests that confirmed that that's what they really are, but because of their location and because there's really no reason why they would be there, the doctors want to remove them. They are a little worried that they can swell more and touch my spine... which would be a terrifying thought to happen, so it's best that I get those removed. I'm a little scared about it because I've never gotten surgery and I never wanted to get surgery, so we'll see how it goes next thursday.
Sam and I and Ally are supposed to walk down to Chapters tomorrow so they can pick up the last Harry Potter book... I'm just going for the walk. lol. That should be fun.
