Working on some more minor SMTP issues tonight, which reminded me that I hadn't reported on some of the SMTP work from about a month ago.

In response to my application to get SMTP from SendGrid, they essentially replied, "not yet; wait until the site's near ready". That's fine, and actually encouraging, as it shows that they do take email ( Read more... )

I've been playing with Yesware as a way to keep up with sales prospects; so far, so good. • (Tangible) postcards are (physically) mailed to dentists; see below.
• A short URL (via Bit.ly) brings them to a lead-generation page, now with (self-hosted) video!

Publishing the video to my Rackspace hosting account. Much better streaming than using GoDaddy's server. When I converted the video from MPG to FLV using Zamzar, the audio got a bit smeared. I think I ran into this before; can't recall how I addressed it. In any case, it's not a huge issue; I'll deal with it later. Need to keep moving forward ( Read more... )

I finished editing the video this morning. Even after lining up the audio and video tracks, there was one point where the audio slipped right in the middle of the take. Registering as a Pennsylvania Enterprise (personally, no business name) with intent to get a Sales, Use & Hotel Occupancy Tax License, i.e., to legally collect PA sales tax.
