SCOUTING FOR FOOD
Scouts form[sic] Pack 531 and Troop 559 are collecting canned food and other non-perishable items for the local Food Pantry at Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church on So. Newstead Rd. Scouts will be canvassing the community on Saturday, November 12th. Anyone wishing to help stock the shelves ad the food pantry are asked to put their contributions in bags by their front doors by 10 a.m. Mike Richardson, Ed Hilliard, Jason Mulrin[Mulrain], Michael Bruke, Tom Hilliard and Matt Pelkey (above) are among the scouts who will be "scouting for food". They hope many local residents will help them in this effort.
I was 15 at the time. Unfortunately, they have Ed blocking my rank, but I probably was First Class at this point. I know I still have the silkscreened Troop Neckerchief, but I seriously wonder if I have the fleur-de-lis neckerchief slide still... I'll have to jump up in the attic and see if I can find my memory tote.
