a boy wakes up in his bed
he can't remember the night before at all
he looks around as if the answers he craved were on those walls
at which point he glances at the floor
he sees his mother lying there, blood everywhere
he suddenly remembers everything
What did you say to me?
I didn't say anthing to you
Bullshit, don't you lie to me boy
I didn't say anything, I swear-
I'm gonna give you till the count of 5 to start talkin...5
*his father knocks down the door and charges into the room, belt in hand
Daddy stop it please! You're hurting me!
You gonna learn some manners boy, you hear me?
I'm sorry! I'm sorry! I wont do it again!
You gonna learn to respect your father-
*a woman comes into the house, livid, and yanks up a lamp
You get away from my son!
He's my son too damnit, mind your own business woman!
*the woman throws the lamp, grabs the boy and makes a break for the closet
You be a good boy now, be quiet and mama will be right back
Mama, I'm scared
Shhhh
*the woman locks her child in the closet
What the hell is the matter with you Miles?
Mind your own damn business Joan, that boy's gonna learn his manners!
You will not touch him again or so help me I'll call the sheriffs and they can deal with you
Them sheriffs wouldn't know what to do with me
No but everyone knows how to deal with a drunk man
I aint drunk damnit!
You're off your rocker!
I aint got a rocker!
*the man grabs a gun on the newly polished countertop
Miles! Where'd you get that?
Doesn't matter where I got it, you should be asking why I got it...
You wouldn't-
*the boy hears a loud sound coming from the room that somewhat resembles firecrackers
*then he hears nothing
Where are you boy?

*the boy glances into his room to see his mom lying face down by his bed
7 years later the boy wakes up in his bed
he looks down to see his mother still lying there, the blood gone but her body remains
