Of college and writing and me freaking out

I started freaking out today because I saw my bill for this semester of college and it's more than we had expected it to be. The plan is to use the money that my mom saved up to pay for what isn't covered by financial aid this year and to have the left over be used to start paying off my loans. Thanks. Congratulations on your up coming graduation. What is your major?

And yes, my dad is pretty much my perpetual sounding board for ideas...he understands how I think, so that helps...a lot of the time, it helps me to just kind of ramble about things until I figure it out.

There have been many times when I've talked to him about problems I'm stuck on in my homework. Often times, he doesn't have any idea what I'm talking about, but it helps.

Yeah. It's really helpful because I know he'll tell me if I'm being stupid or too logical. Unfortunately though, I don't have this with my mom and recently I've come to realize that she really just doesn't know me. I often feel like I can't talk about anything with her, which is probably partially why I do it so much with my dad.

BS in business administration with an option in accounting and a minor in justice studies. Bit of a mouthful right?

I definitely agree, but it's kind of obvious that it isn't necessarily true when every so often, I'll say something and my mom says something along the lines of "that just doesn't sound like something you'd say" and then implies that I can't think for myself and that I'm just repeating what other people say ( ... )
