"Gyaah!!" Adelle shriked as she stomped out of the classroom, "I will get you back for this blondie! Just you wait!" Arthy laughed out loud as he watched her walk out the room ccovered in mud and feathers. Ah, what a wonderul way to start the day, get back at the annoying girl that has been cramping his style for months.
Turning around, he stalked up to a table and leaned against it.
"So, that means your free later, right?" Arthy asked the pretty little necromancer who sat at her table, her books placed neatly on her lap. Lily looked at him before getting up from her chair and heading out the door. Arthy's been around her and Adelle so much she didn't feel uncomfortable with him anymore, but she still disliked him for a number of things.
"Hey, hey, hey!" Arthy called out as he hurried after her, "Where you going?"'
Lily raised an eyebrow at him and frowned, "I think my friend needs me," she told him. She pushed him to the side and walked out of the hallway.
Arthy pouted as he watched Lily walk off.
"Aw, come on."
--
"So, where's your friend?" Arthy asked as he slid on the seat next to her. Lily sighed and refused to even look at him.
"She's sick." she told him and proceeded to fix up the vials and the cauldron in front of her. Looking at her potions book, she proceeded to go through the cupboard and drawers looking for all the ingredients, aware that the shapeshifter was still following her.
"That means your free to have lunch with me?" he asked, his eyes lighting up.
Lily glanced at him then turned back to her potion, "No."
Arthy frowned and grabbed a vial. He didn't expect it to slip off his fingers. A horrible stench soon filled the room and the professor called for everyone not to panic and leave the room quietly and quietly. They were all coughing and wheezing outside and Arthy was met with Liy's book bag as she hit him on the face with it.
--
"Here," Arthy thrusted a rose in her hand as he sat down beside her in the shade of the tree. Lily looked at him and gently twirled it around her fingers, "It' plastic." she told him. He chuckled as he placed a hand on the back of his neck in embarrassment.
"I didn't know whether or not roses die when a necromancer touches them so I got plastic for you."
Lily looked at him and wondered if he was being offensive, but the look in his eyes told him that he was really trying.
"Thanks," she told him with a smile and placed the rose in her bag gently.
--
"I didn't think I'd find you here," Lily stated as she placed her bag down on a table. She looked amused as she watched Arthy walk over with a pile of books in his hand.
He blushed as he tried to waddle off to another table, but was stopped when Lily placed a hand on the top book.
"Let me help you," she told him and picked up a few of the top books off his pile and helped him to his table.
"So, what are you doing here?" she asked him. He chuckled as he placed the books down and wiped the sweat from his forehead with the back of his hand.
"Hey, even a class clown needs to pass his exams."
She chuckled. His heart fluttered.
"I suppose so."
A comfortable silence followed them and Arthy sat down and proceeded to skim through one of the books that he picked off the shelf. His brows furrowed in confusion as he tried to understand the foreign language he was trying to read. He looked up when he noticed Lily had apparently went back for her bag and was now sitting beside him.
She noticed his unspoken question and patted him playfully on the cheek, "Well, I thought it would be better if we studies together."
--
"You know, these are kind of cute!" he exclaimed as he let the little undead birds rest on his palm. He gave a huge grin to Lily who didn't notice as she was preoccupied with her own little undead birds.
Arthy watched her and blushed as he noticed how incandescent she looked. Sure, at first he had only been trying to wow her up because she looked kind of cute, but right now, he thought that maybe this was finally the real deal.
"What are you looking at?" she asked him when she finally turned to him.
He looked away as he scratched at his cheek, "Oh, nothing really."
Lily looked away, red staining her pale cheeks as well.
--
"Can I kiss you?" he asked her out of the blue when they were sitting side by side sitting by the lake.
She looked at him, looked away, and nodded.
Arthy could feel his heart beating wildly as he leaned forward.
As their lips met, Lily had never felt so alive.
--
Adelle looked at them and frowned at their intwined fingers.
"So, the two of you are really dating now?" she asked from where she sat on the table. The two looked down and nodded. Adelle sighed at the two of them. Oh how pathetic they looked. Couldn't even look at each other without turning as red as a tomato.
"Okay fine, I don't really approve of this," as she said this, she slapped Arthy on his cheek and ignored Lily as she cried out for her to stop, "but if you really like him then fine. I won't stop you."
"Also," she leaned forward and Arthy stiffened as he felt her breath on his ear.
"If you hurt her, I will personally castrate you blondie."
Arthy could merely nod.
"Okay then, now that's settled, let's eat!" Adelle then hurried of to the cafeteria.
Arthy looked at Lily with pleading eyes, "Can't we just leave?"
Lily chuckled as she kissed his cheek and went to follow her friend.
"Aw, come on!" he whined and hurried after her.
