Adelle glared at him as she started talking non-stop about how much of a useless idiot he was and that she was better off with a dog, or a chicken, maybe even a freaking rock she can just pic up from the ground. She picked at her clothes and tried to dust herself off the best that she can as she continued to complain to him and tell him just how much trouble they were going to be in.
Arthy sighed as he sat down on an old table. He wasn't really listening to her tirade but thinking of a way to get her to shut up. He loved her, but really, being forced to come with her to her creepy friend's house to clean up their creepy attic was just too much.
As Adelle moved around and tried to put everything back to where they originally sat while she kept muttering about his incompetence and whatnot and was trying to think up a spell in order to clean the place faster (she's been doing well these past few months, he was proud of her), Arthy managed to think of something that would surely get her to quiet down and relax, even just for a minute.
He crept behind her silently and wrapped his arms around her. She shrieked and tried to struggle, bad-mouthing him all the more now. Acting quickly, he turned her around and landed a kiss on her lips.
"I love you..." he whispered when he pulled away, his forehead resting against hers. She remained quiet, a blush on her face as she stared at him wide-eyed.
He smirked, "Well that shut you up."
His words registered rather quickly in her head as she smacked him on the cheek and started kicking him in the ribs whil crying out that he was a good-for-nothing player with nothing else to do in his life but play jokes on other people.
It physically hurt him, but looking at her face that still burned with embarrassment, he didn't mind.
